In this week’s episode, John offers advice about using LinkedIn. Most clinicians pursuing a nonclinical job have already built a LinkedIn profile. However, some of the more advanced aspects of a LinkedIn page are often overlooked.
LinkedIn can be very useful for adding new contacts and networking with them. Since more than half of those looking for a new job find a job through a personal referral rather than by applying online, expanding one’s network will enhance your job search.
LinkedIn also serves as a job board, with millions of job postings. And it facilitates the process of working with recruiters. John describes some of the ways in which seeking clinicians can leverage LinkedIn to find and connect with recruiters.
