The vision for MedSpoke materialized in the Spring of 2015 when Jon Larson and another physician Hector Caraballo were brainstorming ideas to improve healthcare. They saw an enormous opportunity to utilize technology to improve the lives of physicians and patients.
The MedSpoke team met at San Antonio’s co-working space Geekdom, and assembled a team with the passion, skills and determination to create MedSpoke. Medspoke is a physician-centric, health-tech company focused on solving healthcare credentialing challenges using technology like blockchain. Its platform eliminates credentialing headaches by ensuring that credentialing data is automated, organized, current and available whenever needed.
Jon walked us through his career journey, then described how he and Hector Caraballo developed their health technology company by addressing a glaring need.
We also discussed the challenges of shifting from the excitement of starting a new business to facing the mundane challenges of running it day to day.
