How to Build a Terrific Freelance Consulting Business

Mike describes the four levels of financial freedom as applied to physicians:

1. Employee
2. Business Owner
3. CEO
4. Investor

For those who want to start almost any business, including freelance consulting, Mike recommends asking yourself seven questions about the potential niche, for which he uses the acronym "CLEARED":

• Do you feel very Competent with the subject matter?
• Is it potentially Lucrative?
• Does working in the niche Energize you?
• Is there an obvious Audience?
• Do you have Relationships with others in the field?
• Is it Evergreen, rather than a passing fad?
• Can you demonstrate Demand as evidenced by others in the niche?

In the episode, Mike also discusses how he became a successful consultant by combining his understanding of medical practices with his curiosity about online marketing.
