In this episode, John interviews Mike Woo-Ming, MD, MPH, about his experiences as an entrepreneur, author, marketing consultant and physician educator. Mike started his first side hustle while still in training, teaching undergraduates how to successfully prepare for and apply to medical school.
He subsequently started several businesses, in the fields of online marketing, consulting, software development, and physician training and coaching. He left clinical medicine for for several years, but subsequently returned and now runs a wellness clinic and medical spa, in addition to his side businesses.
Through it all, he was driven by his desire to remain an independant business owner. He is now offering a free webinar and handbook, and a paid online course, designed to help physicians restore their autonomy and satisfaction by creating their own nonclinical business.
